Ongoing Advisory Retainer

Expert safeguarding guidance, when you need it.

We offer a structured retainer model for organisations that have established a safeguarding framework and want expert, independent advisory support on an ongoing basis; including guidance on complex policy questions, governance challenges and emerging regulatory developments.

This is not general case management support. It is senior-level safeguarding expertise applied to governance, leadership, and practice questions that require independent judgement and specialist knowledge.

What the Retainer Includes

  • Scheduled regular advisory sessions, frequency agreed at outset
  • Participation in case management meetings
  • Responsive advisory support for urgent governance or case-handling questions
  • Guidance on regulatory developments and emerging safeguarding standards across your sector
  • Independent review of complex cases and/or internal decisions with safeguarding implications
  • Annual safeguarding framework health-check and risk landscape update
  • Priority access for ad hoc review requests between scheduled sessions

Who Is This For

The retainer is designed for organisations at a stage where their core safeguarding infrastructure is in place, but where ongoing expert guidance adds significant governance value. This includes: organisations under sustained regulatory scrutiny; governing bodies managing active safeguarding concerns or appeals; organisations preparing for significant events or operational expansion; and leadership teams wanting a standing independent perspective on their safeguarding governance.

How It Works

Step 1  Scoping conversation —> We agree the scope, frequency, and focus areas of the retainer based on your governance context and risk profile.

Step 2  Structured engagement —> Regular scheduled sessions with a clear agenda and documented outcomes. Ad hoc access via agreed channels for urgent matters.

Step 3  Periodic review —> At the end of each retainer period, we conduct a structured review of our engagement within your organisation which will allow you to make informed decisions on our continuous level of engagement going forward.
